Job's Tears 80 hours

I've been working away on Job's Tears, not with as much progress I would have hoped this month. I was really hoping to finish this piece this month, although I know now as the month is quickly coming to a close I'm not going to get it done. I'll keep plugging away in hopes of finishing it up in the early part of May. I got caught up in obligation stitching this month which really slowed me down. May shouldn't bring many interruptions of the stitching kind, as much as I can't say the same in regards to my everyday life.

I know there are possible changes surrounding the intended recipient of this piece, so I know I made a good decision when choosing to focus on this piece until it is completed.

Rose of Sharon - Paula Vaughan

Here is my contribution to Rose of Sharon. I stitched from the right side of the second pole to the edge that you see there now. I would have liked to do more, but elected to stop where I did since I was concerned with not being able to finish it and my issues with colour continuity played a major factor. This is being mailed off to another participant to add what she can in hopes of finishing it up.

I have to say it was nice to work on this piece although a little strange since I've stitched this piece in the past. It was like a little homecoming of sorts.

Wildflower Rhapsody - Paula Vaughan

I started this today, for WIP # 14. I'm not supposed to be starting anything new however I think some rules are made for the sole purpose of breaking them, and that is definitely the case in this situation.

I didn't want to be bothered with counting up and over to start in the top left corner, which is my preference, so I'm smack dab in the middle. AUUUUUGH Those flowers. Those colour changes. Why is it I have to love Paula Vaughan like I do? Her pieces are incredible and the finished product is worth every minute and every floss change, but sometimes.....

I've so far logged about 4+ hours, so a few more minutes and I'll be back to Love for another 10 hours.
